Guys, like I have said, this is the final battle for the dream act. Harry Reid though spoke an hour ago, he said this.

“The DREAM Act is there for a purpose: to give young men and women, who came here when they were really just kids, an opportunity to join the military or to go to school. And I am not going to agree to anything that is short of allowing these young men and women to become citizens after they make the sacrifices they do,”

I may be undocumented but I'm also human. I apologize for my comments. I lost control for a bit. Our situation is extremely frustrating and although I stick to my original belief that Rubio's bill is full of it, I also realize that it is better than nothing.

So once again, sorry

I completely agree that everyone should stay positive. I admit I lost it for a second. It just wasn't my day today.

Bro I understand where you are coming from. I have been waiting for this to pass for 6 years now (when I graduated from HS). Immigrants are mad that democrats kept using Dream Act to get the Latino vote. Repub's are aware of this so in my opinion something must pass by next year. Time's up for these politicians, it is now do or die for them... Either side.

Has anybody told Rubio that you need a greencard to join the military? No way they will let non-immigrants join up. That much I can guarantee.

For what it is worth, no need to apologize, for I caused your anger. I should be the one to apologize. And, I do.

I apologize for the disrespectful comments that I have made. It just really kills me to see my parents suffering so much . . . . And, I flip out when people start slamming something that MIGHT POSSIBLY end what I feel and the suffering of others. Again, my apologies to everyone in this forum.

Final? Never! That is what they said in 2010. It will be final after it passes and we have to pass another one in 10-20 years from now.

In tuition fees and books, I think have paid like $10,000 to $15,000 each year for my upper division units. But, I did not pay that amount for four years. I went to a community college first then transferred. Oh and on the side, I was paying $300 to $400 for rent. :- ) Working in restaurants as a server or busser is good money for school. REALLY good money.

If I am not mistaken, I knew some guy with TPS who joined the marines. Can someone back me up on that? He was from Guatemala. I was under the illusion that even with a temporary visa, on could join.
