I think cut-off based on what date you entered the country.

Actually it's the kind of law that would make sense -- the previous version is like 5 years, right?

Okay for cut-off date basically he means this, let's say he sets the cut-off date at Sept, 12,2001. Basically anyone who entered the country after that date would not be eligible to be granted the nonimmigrant visas regardless of your age or your educational status or your desires to enter the military. You would be invalidated for the law. Hate to say it, but some dreamers are probably going to face that scenario. That's the one thing I can see turning some of us against this legislative act.

Until a bill is in writing and presented, nothing is certain. I wouldn't look too much into the cut off date mention in this article. I guarantee you, there will be an age limit on it.

Rubio has stated it will have an age limit, but he has also stated that it will have a cut-off date. So it should be something of concern to people, esp the new arrivals who came in the last five years.

I totally agree. Immigration restrictionism is becoming the new political vogue, and CIR seems like a distinct impossibility now what with the new revelations of net zero migration. This is our last soiree. Like I keep saying, now or never.

As long as it isnt a drug, violent, DUI, or sexual offense then I think you'll be fine..

Guys, I encourage everyone not to worry. Pacheco, Durbin, Rep. Guitierrez etc. are talking to Rubio. I think the bill might benefit all of us somehow.

Likewise...Take it easy yourself. I'm sure something is going to pass this year. Even Obama himself must be worried just like we are.
