Oh wow... I didn't hear about that, if that was the case then she needs to step her game up a bit and really talk to her husband about it, I mean damn! She was able to get her Nutrition Bill passed, and it's not like that was an emergency, why not the Dream Act?

The problem is the first lady can only have so much power. From all that I've read, Michelle obama is a highly idealistic, hard driving lady who doesn't and never really wanted to play the D.C. game, earlier during Obama's presidency though she fought with Rahm Emmanuel over policy directives so much that he fled to become mayor as Obama favored her(health care reform anyone? Emmaunel didn't want to waste political capital on that at all)

I assume that after all that drama, she's been stepping a bit from the political game so as not to be called the second coming of hillary clinton. At the end of the day Obama is calculating, power driven, and determined to stay in power, thus I doubt an EO is coming soon any time at all, if ever.

I agree with you that she's not really into the whole political game, I recall people talking about that a while back. However, the first lady has a lot of power, for starters, she has her husband's ear at the end of the day, and if she makes this issue a priority of hers I'm sure he'll listen to her.

If Obama wants to win in November, it'll be wise to sign an EO for Dreamers so that our US Citizen relatives (like my entire family) will be motivated to go out and vote for him like they did in 2008.

Good news because we have another Rep on board who introduced his own bill. Definately momentum for the upcoming Rubio's bill this month.
