Indeed, but laws are like businesses. Durbin should start from 40 and negotiate from there. It will ultimately become a battle of numbers and the bigger the age cap we can get, the better. Yet, its all about the "partisanship."

It wouldn't be difficult to say "anyone brought in before 16"... but are they willing to do that instead of adding an age cap?
The debate is $$. They always think it will cost a lot of money if we include every dreamer.

If they need funds to cover the cost of processing our visas, then maybe they can fine us. I know it sucks, but money should not be an issue since most of us are willing to pay a fine and the application fee.

True that!
Imagine if every one of us undocumented immigrants paid our way to get ligalized, and be required to pay taxes after (not that we don't already), then it's actually more of an ivestment than cost. I mean there are millions of us.

Thanks dude. I am 25. Forget about a 25 age cap. The most influential dreamers who talk to Durbin and have talked to Rubio are 25ish. Mohammad Abdohalli is 26.

I think we should demand that a retroactive clause for aged DREAMERS (30 and over) with college degrees in the upcoming Rubio bill--that's if they are left out. It's really fucked up for any of them to be excluded. They were brought here as children too. They aged because of governmental inaction. They could not control the fact that they were brought here; they can not control nature/time. So, why should they or any of us be punished for either factor? The concern should be on preventing a "blanket amnesty" and preventing fraud, fucking period covered in piglet shit.

Durbin himself is talking about 30+ in this article and he recently had a video of a 30+ Dreamer and Vargas is over 30 too. 11 years ago, these Dreamers were just 14/15.

It it is 25 then you age out. It should be 30 with Retro. That is fair for everyone and I think it will most likely be 30 cap with Retro.

I'll still wait to see what exactly is in Rubio's bill. I'm 25 and I know a lot of the people that have been working to get this bill passed for the last 10 years who are older than I am. At the end of the day, STARS isn't going anywhere. Rivera released it to shift the focus away from the ethics issues he's facing.
