Obtaining a legal status may solve the problem for me personally. But, I personally feel that my personal problem is never solved as long as the problem is not solved for all of our undocumented people in this country. So, I will always remain undocumented spiritually, as long as there is a need to protest, and struggle, and fight against the injustices that our undocumented people are involved in this country...

Under Section 202(c)(2)(B) of the REAL ID Act of 2005, which requires states to verify an applicant’s legal
status in the United States before issuing a driver’s license or personal identification card, an “alien” who has
approved deferred action status is a person in lawful status.
So it lawful status?

deferred action does imply that you are "legally present". Your presence in the US is authorize through the deferred action.

But that alone will not get you a license. In my state (North Carolina), there is a list of approved documents to obtain a license - an EAD is one of them. Virginia specifically states that EAD is not valid for obtaining a license though.

I wish not only for Virginia, but for all states to grant DLs and IDs to all eligible DACA DREAMers.

Most states do allow you to get DL with your work authorization.

Wow! They would be scared if they actually found out that us dreamers are knowable people unlike ignorant Americans.

They have to. I just checked the text of the REAL ID Act and yes, states have to.

Deferred action is one of them
