We can't tell until August 15th, but mostly likely having the SS card won't help you (or hurt you) when it comes to applying for DACA unless you had registered with the SS sometime in the last five years and were going to use the card as your proof of being in the country.

Yes, but as long as you prove that you have been in the country for 5 years prior to june 15th, I think it will automatically be counted as you were present in the country.

Me too. I have read on some websites that you can get denied entry by any CBP officer at the port of entry, but then why would they even give us that option if they knew we would get denied? If you travel to your country, they will not do anything to you. They will allow you to board your plane as long as you show them the ticket and a passport. It is when you reach the border of America, you will get inspected by a border patrol office.

No. I dont think the receipts have your name on it unless you pay with a credit card or something. I would stay away from sending those in. they are not significant proof.

Saying that we have the ability to get AP is very different from qualifying and then being able to re-enter with discretion especially since we don't have legal status (visa, etc) per se. This is all new.

I don't think Dreamers who get AP will have to worry about it, but I also don't want people to think that AP automatically means we get to travel the world and there is no inherent risk involved.

There's risk involved so decide for yourselves wisely.

Yeah, I get you. I really want to go to Poland to visit my grandmother and my family, even if it's for 2 -3 weeks, but I need a guarantee that I can come back in safely because this is the country I love. I'm starting college here soon, and I wouldn't want any nerve-wrecking problems at the airport but in most cases I feel that AP is safe.
