DreamTeam LA will be hosting a second Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) community forum/application drive on Saturday, September 22nd from 9am-5pm at the Los Angeles Convention Center, for free. The event will be taking place in the Concourse Hall, located inside the Convention Center.

Lawyers will be on hand to review deferred actions cases free of charge, but before individuals see a lawyer, you need to be pre-screened to make sure you meet all the basic requirements to apply for deferred action.

If you were pre-screened at our last event at Miguel Contreras High School on August 25th, you still need to setup a pre-screening appointment to come in and schedule your appointment with a lawyer on September 22nd.

PRE-SCREENINGS will take place BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on:

Tuesday, September 18, from 1pm-7pm, at CARECEN, 2845 W. 7th St. Los angeles CA 90005
Wednesday, September 19, from 1pm-7pm at the UCLA Labor Center, 675 S. Park View St. Los Angeles, CA. 90057

TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to be pre-screened, please reply back to this email: [email protected] or CALL or TEXT us at 626-344-7626 with your:
-name,
-telephone number,
-email address, and
-which day and time you wish to attend the pre-screening.

Once you have an appointment, please arrive 15 minutes early. If for any reason you cannot make it to your appointment or need to re-schedule please let us know as soon as you can so we can offer your spot to someone else.

If you cannot attend the pre-screenings on September 18 & 19, you will be pre-screened at the day of the event. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an appointment with a lawyer if you are pre-screened on the day of the event because of the amount of DREAMERs expected to attend. That is why we STRONGLY SUGGEST you make it to the pre-screenings on September 18 & 19 in order to avoid waiting in long lines and also to secure an appointment with a lawyer.

WE ARE ALSO IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS TO HELP OUT WITH EVENT LOGISTICS ON THE 22nd, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER, YOU CAN FILL OUT THE VOLUNTEER FORM HERE. WE ARE GOING TO NEED ALL THE HELP AND SUPPORT WE CAN GET TO MAKE THIS EVENT A SUCCESS.

I would volunteer, but going to LA multiple times during the week is crazy. Gas, commute etc. There is a clinic closer to my home, I already submitted my details to volunteer, but no response yet.
