WASHINGTON (AP) — What gender gap?

Less than two weeks out from Election Day, Republican Mitt Romney has erased President Barack Obama's 16-point advantage among women, a new Associated Press-GfK poll shows. And the president, in turn, has largely eliminated Romney's edge among men.

Those churning gender dynamics leave the presidential race still a virtual dead heat, with Romney favored by 47 percent of likely voters and Obama by 45 percent, a result within the poll's margin of sampling error, the survey shows.

Yeah i saw that, the women part is not very good, but closing the gap on men is at least making it better.

A national poll is worthless in a country that runs an electoral college system for its election. Just because a whole bunch of women in the Deep South are going "Yes, I would like the politicians to shove their agendas in my vagina, please." doesn't mean Obama is losing his women voters gap to Romney.

Seriously, every single news article about the election is worthless. If you want a professional, nuanced, and *actually* accurate analysis, go to http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/

I read on Yahoo news yesterday that Obama has to win 2 the battleground states to win the election and Romney has to win 4 of them. Obama at this moment is up on Romney on the electoral votes. So, come election day if Obama wins Ohio and say another battleground state like W.Virginia, he has the election in the bag even if he loses out on the popular vote. Ironically, I've never been a fan of the electoral system because it's not a direct representation of the people's will. But the American people's will is laughable at some points and I think the founding fathers sensed that there needs to be some checks in place so that the idiots don't screw it up for the rest of us.

Obama is an incumbent, so his next term pretty much starts right after the election since he doesn't have to worry about being taken out of office anymore.
