In 2006 and 2007, you had plenty of right-wing Senate Republicans supporting reform. Then, they tried passing the bill in 2007 and their offices got inundated by calls from restrictionists and they did a 180.

Needless to say, if Sessions is in favor of the bill, it means reform has easily more than 60 votes in the Senate. However, that depends on the level of backlash and backlash to the backlash they re going to get.

As I said in the other thread however, as things stand now, the key is the House and it's no accident that's where Numbers USA is focusing its attention.
