Plus Idk if they would be charging us some kind of fee to apply for our paperwork once those things are passed.
Suite yourself.

Very good question and valid concern because I understand that some DREAMERS really struggle with money . . .

If you have the money, I say apply for DACA. Making the recommendation that you should wait is a little difficult for me to do. You have to analyze your situation (e.g. do you need to drive, to work, etc.) and to make a decision yourself.

Thanks. I am definitely short on money so this is a hard decision for me. I will have to think about it some more lol

Well, you can wait until the end of this month and see if legislators begin to debate the immigration issue in a different light. I understand your position though. I really do. You use your money on DACA then CIR happens, which means more money that you will have to spend. Your concern is valid; not all of us have savings or loved ones/friends to help us out.

There is no guarantee anything will be passed, plus we've long had our collective dreams dashed when it comes to CIR/DA expectations, even though I admit things look much different now.

So I strongly recommend applying for DACA, DA 2.0 might even have various provisions that elevate successful DACA candidates as already qualified for the updated dream act. So apply, and get going right away.

.
Very true. An upcoming immigration bill might, indeed, take into account DACA beneficiaries and the fees they paid.

^ A million times THIS!!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if DA 2.0/CIR has a provision in it that automatically upgrades DACA approved to DA2.0/CIR approved. I even expect this provision to happen 100%, considering DACA is basically DA Lite.

Thank you. That is a strong possibility. I will go ahead & go through with the application for DACA. Thank you all for your advice.

Well with this DACA approval process taking 4-6months min.. Can u imagine how long CIR will take for approval..besides we all want DA to pass but just remember to be eligible u must receive a degree within 6 yrs or enter the military..contrary to popular belief all Dreamers can't afford college or can't qualify to enter the military..and I remember the age limit being 35 with DACA at 30 I think our government will be hard pressed to change the age now...this will be a long fight if anything with all the restrictions that will placed on these bills we will be lucky to see half of the est.11 million come out the shadows..fees background checks, and the waiting come on ..it may very well take a year or longer to get approved..Now DACA approvals that are college, educated will most likely be fast tracked to a PR status,,with a 1050 fee of course..I believe that's the fee for a GC or 995... Obama has to push this as hard as he wanted his healthcare act..anything less isn't going to cut it !!!!!!
