My sister got an RFE, and she needs to prove her presence here on June 15th, 2012. She will send an affidavit signed and "written" by the father of the girls she was babysitting that entire week (he is U.S.C.). However, since he is a construction worker, my mom told me it would be better if I wrote the affidavit, since he might not have enough knowledge about that stuff (-___-), and have him sign it and notarized. Problem is, I have never written one and don't know what an affidavit for USCIS would look like. Could any of you tell me specifically what to write on it?

USCIS won't accept affidavits for the June 15th requirement.

This...

You gotta send other evidence. Try cell phone bills or bank statements.

The proof doesn't have to be on the exact day of June 15th 2012, you can use utility bills you paid within a week before or so with your name on them and dated.

Try to find anything you can, as insignificant as it may seem that is close to the June 15th date, then get someone to write you an affidavit to go along with that piece of evidence.

Ahh, shit, I forgot about this. Well, we only have one piece of evidence (June 7th). We'll see if it suffices.

Well, all we have is a June 7th receipt from some furniture delivered that the sis signed. Would someone from the furniture store have to sign the affidavit?

Not necessarily. What I meant was, get someone to make her an affidavit, like the person you mentioned in your original post, to go along with the piece of evidence. You can't submit affidavits on their own, but I'm sure they will accept it if you send it along with something else.

"If the only evidence you submit to demonstrate you meet any of the above guidelines is an affidavit, USCIS will issue a Request for Evidence, indicating that you have not demonstrated that you meet these guidelines and that you must do so in order to demonstrate that you meet that guideline."
