A few weeks ago I posted about two of my friends families are getting deported. This week, we were able to successfully stop the deportations of the Wei Lee and Putri Siti Dyannie families with over 1,600 supporters who signed onto our petition. However, the fight is not over.

We are urging ICE and our Congressional representatives to stop the deportation of all families. We are seeing unprecedented levels of immigration enforcement with over 1.7 million deportations.

Join Asian Students Promoting Immigrant Rights through Education (ASPIRE), the first and only Asian Pacific Islander (API) undocumented youth community organization in the nation, and community groups for an action for the “Our Families Matter” Campaign.

Meet at One Post Plaza for a rally at 11:00am. We will then march over to ICE office.

When you care so much about other people's families, do you ever care about your OWN families?

1) Are you worried that your parents may lose the benefits that they are receiving from the government because there are too many people who also need them?

2) Are you worried that your kids may have to compete with more applicants when applying for college and lose their financial aids because there are just too many students who also need the aids?

3) Are you worried that you may lose your job because the competition is stronger and you may have to limit your use of water/gas because there are more people who also need those resources?

Remember, you have your OWN families to save before you can save others'!

Are you asking about me specifically or are you asking about why people should come out and support?

I am asking neither of what you said.

You can certainly rally if you believe that is the right thing to do.

Here is my point:

For people who are already here in the US, they need to save their own families first: Their parents, their kids, and themselves, before going to help and save others.

With both financial resources and natural resources in the US becoming more and more depleted these days, saving more of those for the people already here would be much more meaningful, including your own families. Your own families also need those financial resources and natural resources.

In other words, the larger the population that needs the ever shrinking resources in the US, the less the share of each individual (your families included) will become. And such resources are shrinking fast.

No offense to you and your cause. Good luck!

When you care so much about other people's families, do you ever care about your OWN families?

Of course we are fighting for our own family. Do you not understand the word "Our"? We are fighting for our own family, our friends' families, and other immigrant families as well.

1) Are you worried that your parents may lose the benefits that they are receiving from the government because there are too many people who also need them?

Obviously, you are not a DREAMER. What kind of benefit are you talking about? my parents aren't receiving any kind of benefit. In fact, they are paying taxes, and they can't even claim what is rightfully theirs. They are paying for American's medicare and social security.

2) Are you worried that your kids may have to compete with more applicants when applying for college and lose their financial aids because there are just too many students who also need the aids?

Where the hell is this question coming from? this has nothing to do with the campaign.

3) Are you worried that you may lose your job because the competition is stronger and you may have to limit your use of water/gas because there are more people who also need those resources?

Why would I lose the job that I already have? I have my job because I won the competition. Again, this has nothing to do with our campaign.

FYI, we are not fighting for resources we are fighting to stop family separation. You clearly did not read the flyer. It has nothing to do with money or any other kind of resources.
