Now that the principles for reform have been laid out I think this is going to require a lot of effort on our part and shouldn't leave it to just Senators and Advocates as every individual has a role to play, and voice to be heard. This isn't about "getting your hopes up" or "being negative" but from my perspective not waisting an opportunity. It took almost 6 years for the Senate to address reformation of immigration law again and should it fail, another 6 would take us all the way into 2019.The hope of DACA being around for the duration of those six years is just that,"hope". It shouldn't be seen as permanent relief dependent on every Presidential election cycle or promise not to revocate the administrative benefit. It is clear what actions must be taken and why as many have asked for the opportunity to live in these United States permanently. The hope and opportunity is there...only thing that remains is the action needed.

Thank you for registering for our first "Lobbying for Immigration Reform" Webinar! We are very excited to have you.

For nearly a decade, undocumented youth have been at the forefront of legislative and electoral battles on immigration. Through this struggle, the DREAM Action Coalition (DRM) was created to become a focused political and lobbying voice in our movement. Our intimate understanding of the legislative and political process extends beyond just a job because our experience emanates from passion and conviction.

As you have heard, President Obama and Senate leadership will be announcing their plan on immigration for 2013 this week. This is great! But the reality is that, in order for us to get a humane immigration solution that can help us, our families and our community, we need to hold their feet to the fire and make sure our own Senators and Representatives know that our movement is powerful and we will hold every single one of them accountable.

With that being said, are you ready to lobby for immigration reform??? Here is the information for the training:

Ianus do you know if there's any way to access this after it's happened? I'm not sure I'll be able to attend.

Thanks for sharing!
