Youre entitled to your opinion, its obvious theyre playing politics. Both parties. Its just smart trying to get something out of what could just end up being nothing

CIR has the most momentum. They should include Retroactive Provisions with no age cap.

I have an idea.. What if they give the Dreamers a path to citizenship and they give the rest of the undocumented immigrants a bill thats similar to Deferred Action. A bill thats renewable every 4 years instead of two. Of course, there's going to be a fee for each time you renew your EAD.

I think the concept of what if Dream act did pass piecemeal to be interesting, but there really is nothing clear cut and I still don't believe the House GOP leadership being sincere in their efforts.I think it will actually take another election for the House GOP to truly understand what the last election was about. If they are truly interested in the bill passing when introduced at the end of this month the Speaker should bring it directly to the floor if he is serious like Reid has tried to do many times before.

Well its better than "no class, not citizen"
Once the Dreamers obtain citizenship, they can then file a petition for their Deferred Action Parents.

Second Class Citizen is just a label to me. What matters to me is the overall benefits.

We will have to see what is in the bill. They have been on this for many years right? So I think we should have a solid bi-partisan compromise.

It wouldn't be really different than what we have them. Does it matter that some states will probably pass bills not giving DLS to them?

DREAM act alone is not gonna happen. Senator Reid made that perfectly clear, "no pathway to citizenship CIR for 11 million will not make it on the senate floor". The pressure is on GOP. Labor, unions, chamber of commerce, latinos, evangelicals, and even many republicans and tea partiers are clamoring for CIR. Keep the heat up on the GOP and they will compromise to give legal status to the 11 million.

I think the compromise will come down to the hurdles, length, and benchmarks for the legalized immigrants in order to attain permanent residency.
