6 (10) PRE-APPLICATION REGISTRATION.—
7 (A) IN GENERAL.— The Secretary may, in his or her discretion, permit
8 pre-application registration by prospective applicants for Lawful Prospective
9 Immigrant status before the period during which applications may be accepted
10 under this subsection in order to improve the efficient processing of applications
11 during such period. If the Secretary elects to permit such pre-application
12 registration, the Secretary shall also have the discretion to authorize, under such
13 conditions as the Secretary in his or her discretion shall prescribe, the
14 employment of the registrant starting at such time on or after such registration as
15 the Secretary in his or her discretion shall specify.
