Either way, for those who have degrees, you will be able to work at any job and travel with RPI, well, unless the job requires solely Citizenship.

DACA approved peeps meet all the requirements except for the 5 years... well b/c we just got approved last year or this year.

So the "streamlined" process could be that the 5 years can be exempt for the DACA approved. I have a good feeling that this will happen.

The only reason why they have that 5 years are for people who need to finish that higher education or enlistment requirement.

To me those 5 years of RPI are just like permanent residency as long as they let me travel.
It could mean our 5 years started to count the moment you were daca approved

You are right. It can change. The question: will it?

Under the current text of the bill, DACA does not make me the Justin Bieber of legalization or special. Our rear-ends have to wait.

RPI would apply to people who are still undocumented.

There were comments a few days before the bill came out about how DREAMEers would get conditional permanent resident cards immediately.

When you read clauses like this one: "A registered provisional immigrant seeking lawful permanent resident status shall file an application for such status in such manner as the Secretary of Homeland Security may require", it makes you wonder if once you are in the RPI status, the process becomes discretionary and the 5 year rule can be disregarded.

Yes it says "may require" It's all discretionary from there... Thus I have been saying Napolitano has the power.
