It's funny how Cubans always want others to suffer more in adjusting status and they never talk about the asylum that they get. Why don't they mention anything about taking away the asylum and making Cubans get citizenship in 20 years...

15 years is ridiculous to begin with and this moron wants 20.

Also they want peacemeal approach, that's a huge no-go since democrats won't give border security with no legalization, and republicans won't give legalization with no border security.

yeah its long and ridiculous but we could always just stick with the current immigration system and fix our status through whatever path is available with out this reform.

either this (or the senates) or nothing

Anything is better than nothing but to save time on their crowded legislative calendar they should just adopt senates version see they are far behind.

B.S. to this House bill. I really hope the Senate version gets accepted. Who the hell told the House they had to come up with their own bill? The House and Senate could've worked together to come up with one comprimised bill and we wouldn't have this b.s.

I can see the House turning down the Senate's version and vice versa. Sigh.

I couldn't agree more. They of course have no idea what kinds of hardships we have been through here. I hate it when anyone thinks that it's OK if they get something or if something is easier for them but once it is offered to anyone else they come up with so many reasons of why they are deserving and others aren't. And I'm just not referring to Cubans, it's anyone that puts themselves above and turns a blind eye to the pain of others. This, in the end, is what we are fighting against; the lack of sympathy and compassion.

That's politics. I think they're hitting hard right to push for something more along the lines of 15.

As long as we can travel and do everything else that a green card holder can, I'm not too opposed to it. I'm also assuming a lot of us will be getting married to US citizens so the wait won't be that long. It will suck for parents but I know mine don't care, they just want to be able to live free here and travel back and forth.
