Late 40's Dreamer (Holy Fucking shit I'm almost 50 and still dealing with this), aged out of original DACA and didn't have a chance to apply for extended DACA after Republicans killed it on the vine.

DREAMers will get RPI status. They only need to be in the RPI status for just*five years, after which they will be eligible to apply for permanent resident status*or what is popularly known as receiving a green card.* Things get even better for DREAMers: the*day they get approved for permanent residency, they will be able to file for naturalization.

  • You must apply for RPI Status through USCIS, pass a background check (biometrics) and pay a fee just like we did with DACA.
  • No upper age limit, so it includes anyone who was brought here as a child (under 16 years old) before the cut off date.

    RPI (5 YEARS) -->LPR (NO 5 YEAR WAITING PERIOD) --> USC
    You can stay an LPR or apply for citizenship within 5 years of being granted RPI provided you meet the requirements outlined above.
  • An amendment proposed by Sen. Hirono (Hirono 21) provides for Federal aid in the form of loans for DREAMers, but we are not eligible for Pell Grant.

I think that's everything. The Little DREAMers Amendment (Blumenthal 1) sponsored by Sen. Blumenthal was not voted on (Title II). It allows younger DREAMers (elementary, middle school and those still in high school) to get green cards after five years even though they do not have high school diplomas.

I'm not sure, but I doubt we'd have to do that. It may be as simple as going to another biometrics appointment and filling out another form since your evidence is already on file with USCIS.

yeah, though the original bill had. "Streamline" USCIS could just ahead and have it so that DACErs can just be "grandafathered" in or something

Guys in case you didn't know.. Cruz is actually Canadian.. He was born in Canada and naturalized at a young age. How come he gets a chance but we don't?
