The timeline is slipping away; so now they plan to go to conference, when? The Senate supposedly wants to debate "during" June; they mean the whole damn month?

Then, they go to "recess" after July 4th, have about three weeks and then they get the August "recess". I would love to have this much vacation, too.
But, "Obamacare", aka the ACA, took a lot less than that to be drafted and debated??

You have got to be kidding me. Let me check the calendar....(checking)...then they have another f***ing recess after September, and then it's Halloween, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, etc, etc, etc. And since we know not if the Senate version is what will be enacted, 2013 will end, then supposedly, we wait 6 months to apply, then wait 6-8 months from the looks of DACA to be approved for provisional status...sometime in 2014, right in the middle of the election cycle???

Congress is indeed full of idiots. I am done "hiding" or being low-key, or whatever the hell these politicians spin of our lives. And since Obama's DOJ and incompetent immigration attorney (s) took $15,000+ of my hard-earned money (which was meant for school, btw), they can go...you all know where. On a side note, if this is how I feel as an undocumented person, then some of you, the ones with responsibilities and jobs and families to support, can imagine what the American public feels when they are handed BS on a silver plate by the very same people they helped put into office.

Ok, rant over. I'm making myself a cup of tea now to calm down.

@sidnasty: Lol. Herbal. Black tea or indeed anything with caffeine right now, might not be a good idea. But really, don't you agree? I tell you, I love working with MDs and in healthcare, teaches you well how to spot and shoot down bullshit from a mile away. No room for it.

Never had black tea. My gf loves it though. And yeah lol, stay away from the caffeine when you're all riled up.

They should really start paying them hourly wages instead of their cushy salaries. Maybe that will inspire them to work more. Or pay them based on production instead of stupidity.

Already had English breakfast tea this morning. Meh, black tea is what I really wanted, but this one is okay. Anyone watch the spin given by Sen.Menendez on Univision today? I want to see it, but it might rile me up too.

Looking at how things are going, I doubt CIR will pass. They should have done dream act then CIR IMO.

I can see other GOP presidents. They will have to disavow their party's stance on CIR. That's something that could cause a "rebirth" of sorts for the GOP. Kinda like how all the blue dog dems are getting voted out of office, they will rid themselves of the super hardliners and become more moderate.

CIR is not too big to fail, as it has been proven time and time again since 1986. While the demographics are forever changing away from the White folks the GOP always counted on, Latino Americans aren't the most energetic when it comes to being politically active and voting lol. That has to change before any real change happens. They have the power, they just need to light the fire and show it. The only thing we gather for is carne asada hahaha

And to top it off, Republicans aren't the best at having common sense. At all. Ever. So while I pray and hope CIR passes for the sake of all of us and our families, I also understand that the GOP are idiots and find ways to screw up EVERYTHING.
If that happens, I just hope Obama does something to help people who were not eligible for DACA. I worry about aged out DREAMers and our parents. If CIR fails, things will only get harder for them. States like Arizona and Georgia will think it's open season.

Guittierez was talking about something like that, but he was probably just pulling that out of his ass like usual.

I'm really sick of this political posturing coming from the House of Representatives. It's so unproductive...

Good lawd some of y'all being way too dramatic and pessimistic about this. CIR is TOO BIG TO FAIL. We must believe this time around. This is the last chance CIR has and its looking like a pretty good damn chance. Just a week ago before these House reports, we were all rejoicing. Why were you all happy just moments before and right after the SJC sent S.744 to the Floor? Weren't you aware then that there are radicals in the House who want to kill CIR? Why all of a sudden are you acting as if CIR is dead on arrival? This is just my opinion on this. This time around this CIR bill has way more momentum than DA did in 2010 or CIR did in 2006 I believe it was mainly because of the past election and the fact that John Boehner has shown signs that he is willing to compromise once and for all. Even Paul Ryan is in the mix..not to mention Luis Gutierrez, the long time advocate of CIR is still hustling to gather support. But I agree, Harry Reid must continue the pace that Leahy maintained and pass this bill as soon as possible. Gives us more time to pressure the House. I'm sure something will happen this time around. It's just bound to.
