EditorInChief has a weird love hate relationship with this country.

Wow. I am loving this. I think this is great.

I think House will pass with a 75% of Yays.

In the end, both parties don't truly want to issue to be settled. Republicans would wish for the issue to just go away for the mean time, while democrats win either way regardless of whether CIR passes or not. The status quo allows both parties to say that they tried to do something. The GOP just wants to pretend they are open ears and are doing something, when in the end all they care about is self-deportation and no compromise.

Really sucks because we don't have all the time in the world to wait for the tide to change in our favor, even if it eventually will. The way I see it, Republicans wouldn't see the border as secure even if the goddamn Batman was to secure.

what's going on is the samething as buying something. You go to a yardsale you see something and ask how much. Don't like it and say you'll be back later. The seller knows you're just saying and won't be back so she or he offers you a better deal. The house is the buyer just pretending to buy but in reality just checking how far everyone who supports it are willing to go to pass this. And at it seems not so many people now that time has passed. If you don't pass stuff quick. It never gets passed

LOL, couldn't have said it better myself. I personally see "the border" as a proverbial border; Republicans can't feel safe like they did in the past because the world is changing. The difference is that they need to realize that. Long gone are the good old days when you didn't have to worry about safety. It's not the 1950s anymore. Now they actually have to try to figure out who the good people and the bad people are in the standard of today's society, and that it's really not that black and white anymore.

They bring up excuse after excuse, but if they don't realize that their future hangs in the balance of whether they win Latinos over or not, then they're done. There's NOTHING that'll make them win that vote if they shoot it down, as long as everyone is informed that it was the Republicans who shot it down.
