I thought beggars couldn't be choosers, pianoswithoutfaith (I'm kidding again).

But no, it looks the Hatch back taxes amendment will fail and Swim had the right idea.

Ok I can't read all 4 pages of this thread. That key detail, does it pertain to people having Fake SS that paid taxes under those fake SS?

Well, it looks like the time you worked as an undocumented person won't be counted towards SS eligibility when you turn 67, and the SS taxes you paid between 2004-2014 will be lost. But as for the SS taxes before that (probably after 1986), that's still a question mark.

If you worked illegally, you can forget your contributions made between 2004-2014. How's that for fair? You and I chose to do the right thing and report, file and pay our taxes, so they'll confiscate our contributions. Those who cheated on top of living and working illegally are off the hook. Nice.

Who here is begging and choosing? Just because I think thats fucked up doesn't mean we shouldn't take the bill. I never said anything close to that.

What if you transfer your earnings before CIR is passed? Do you think that matters? Or does this just affect people who get a real SS# after CIR?

It does not apply to people who obtained SS card before 2004.
