The Dream Act IS in the CIR. However, an immigration reform is better than a dream act if you take them apart as it would benefit more people. Though some think a Dream Act is better as it has a better chance of passing

It was my mistake,I thought it was the Motion to End Debate as I was watching C-span off and on during the day.Well,If the cloture vote on S.744 is scheduled we'll see it sooner rather than later.

I guess it is a bit confusing. When cloture is invoked, debate is limited to 30 hours. The motion that was passed 67-31 Wednesday was a motion to limit debate to 30 hours... so technically they passed a motion to invoke cloture on S. 744, right?

DACA approved people would qualify for the DREAM act stated in the bill if they meet all the requirements. While DACA may give you a two year deferral from deportation, it does not provide you with lawful status. You're still "illegally present" in the United States, however you are not accruing unlawful presence during the two years. Having a work authorization, SSN, and a DL does not make you "legal."
