There is a lot of formatting on the page to make it easier to read and it's kind of against copyright laws to copy an article word for word which could lead to a DMCA takedown notice and shut down the whole site so just click on the damn link if you want to read it.

The gist of is he has no facts to support his statements.

Posting the article wouldn't get a site shut down.. You're not claiming it as your own, which is why we site on here. Plus if it was that easy to get a site shut down don't you think forum competitors would just go to other sites, post articles and get their competition shut down?

A user isn't going to get a site shut down because of an article..

Back to topic; gonna go read it now.

It doesn't matter whether I'm claiming it as my own or not. Written word is no different than a photograph or a movie. I can't put an entire movie on here and say "I didn't make this, credit to MGM for making the movie but go ahead and watch it". These articles aren't free - they're paid for by advertising that is on the site so if we just post the whole article on here, it's essentially stealing it. You can sugar coat it, but that's what it is. Even google can't do that. They can put a small part of the article , but the actual content is always with the content owner. All it takes is for the content owner to send a DMCA takedown request to the ISP, in this case Godaddy and godaddy will not only take down this site, but any other site the person who started this site has.

The reason it hasn't happened is either because nobody has bothered checking or didn't want to go through the trouble, but it's like being undocumented - just because you haven't been caught doesn't mean it's allowed.

But really, is it that much trouble to just click a link and make sure the writers get credit for it (financially). The benefit is if they get hits on immigration related stories, they're more likely to write about them too and see the referring link which only raises awareness for the cause.

I don't think anyone has gotten in trouble for copying and pasting an article and citing it.

^ not true. If that was the case, many cites that you see today wouldn't be up.

I wish the summer recess is over soon so we can talk about real immigration news.

To me it seems like they're always on recess. They always find an excuse to not work and they leave everything for the last few hours (like the debt ceiling).
