Right, but if your parents made the decision to cheat the system to bring you here, you think they were living a good life in their home country? If they had stayed over there what would have been of your life? Perhaps when you had reached an older age you too would have decided to come to the U.S. any way possible to help your family out.

Do you now agree with what your parents did? Perhaps not, that's why now you disagree with what these people are doing, but are you not thankful that your parents chose to bring you to this country?

Why yes i would, but we aren't talking about if i had grown up else where and i had no choice but to come here. I have no problem with people trying to get a better life. (yes this is what these people are trying to do) i'm arguing against what the Dream9 did, and now this. These are people who were here at one point and made the choice to go back. They didn't grow up in mexico, they grew up here and despite that fact they left, why? because they couldn't hack it here. Do not make the argument that they went back to go see family members that are ill because guess what? We're all on the same boat. All of us had to go through this bullshit. But these people said fuck it and left. now live with that.

I knew they were going to use the drug cartels as an excuse. The sad part is that there really is people in Mexico with a credible fear of being killed such as the woman who started "el blog del narco" who have actually had threats against them, and their close associates killed. If immigration shuts down asylum requests due to a food of phony requests, then I'm sorry, but the DREAM 9 will have blood on their hands. How can they claim fear when they have lived here all their lives here, and they were in Mexico for less than 3 weeks.

Well, if you're speaking of the Dream 9, then yes, I still fail to realize why they left the U.S. AFTER DACA was announced and or they were DACA approved.

Those dreamers who left before DACA was announced I don't blame. Perhaps they were already older. Some of us young dreamers only had to stay undocumented for a few years after High School, so we don't know what some of those 28+ year old people had to go through during all of those years without documents. Perhaps they had no hope of CIR or something like DACA ever passing, so they saw no need to stay and suffer in this country when they could go and suffer back home and be with their family.

They knew what they were doing when they left. When you make a choice you live with the consequences, and that's exactly what should happen.

I presume you're referring to the "Dream9" but that is a different thread. What's your opinion on the other people who are trying to get in by applying for asylum?

They're taking a chance to come to the U.S just like many other people do. The way you do it is kind of irrelevant. I just hope people that truly need asylum don't get screwed in the future.

Now people that lived here and left, they left. They knew what being undocumented would be like before they came. So why come if you're going to leave? Why leave if you might come back? You can't play it safe by coming and going whenever you want.

I don't see why these cases can't be legitimate cases for asylum. It's no secret that some parts of Mexico are hell holes and are overrun by drug cartels and are plagued by violence. The Dream9 showed that it may be possible to come to the U.S. by using that requirement even if they themselves aren't successful because they left willingly, then tried to come back right away.

I'm not sure what people you're referring to that lived here and left, but some of those people didn't come here willingly, like those who would have qualified for DACA but left before it was created.
