lol tbh, i stopped caring about all this. If its going to happen it will happen. No use in getting our panties in a bunch over some retards in suits that are full of doodoo. We all know they're playing politics and we all know the GOP is pretty much doomed. So we'll just have to wait and see.

We all know their half-assed piece meal approach without a pathway to citizenship is just an attempt at pretending to do something so they can block any chance of reform. Considering that they are the majority in the House, they will succeed (at least until 2014). The only way I see anything happening in the near future is by Obama giving deferred action to the rest of the undocumented.

Pretty much. I just wonder if Obama will have the guts to do something. And when?
I'm hoping he realizes sooner, rather than later, that they are playing games and that the lives of 11 million people are at stake.

He should do exactly what he did to Rubio: No bill? No problem. DACA for the kids you're stringing along.

I think the GOP just wants to pass something just so they can say to Latinos that that they passed an "immigration bill" while at the same time legalizing as few people as possible. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

That's cool...it'd be a step in the right direction for us and we'll still win elections.

I've always thought this too. Their new strategy is to legalize as few people as possible and mitigate any potential impact their votes could have (in the future) on the Republican Party. The less legalized, the less will seek citizenship, and subsequently vote Democrat.

What confirmed it for me was all that talk earlier this summer from Trey Gowdy about how the undocumented population should be divided between DREAMers and everyone else. The other group should then be divided according to the amount of time they've lived in the country.

And now, they've set their sights on us and Goodlatte doesn't want us to have a direct path to citizenship either.

I knew that this debate would devolve into this. I'm pretty skeptical about things now. Whatever they pass, it'll be a mess with additional stipulations or something that we won't know about until we read about it.

Ive been calling this shit out since day 1. Then the senate won't vote on it and the house reps will claim "SEE SEE WE TRIED TO PASS SOMETHING BUT THE SENATE JUST WOULDN'T WORK WITH US!"
