Never heard about that, but what I can tell you is that the professor started this project while he was at the University of Chicago and then was hired by Harvard University. While the data is being stored in a locked and secured location at Harvard University and the University of Southern California, the funding does not come from Harvard University, it comes mostly from the MacArthur Foundation in DC, and the Irvine Foundation and Heising-Simons Foundations out of California.
