I think it is great that he is out there doing this. I didn't feel it was fair that I was not dacafied while others who have been in this country less years than I have got DACA. However, I'm glad they got DACA because they were in the same situation as I am. I'd hope that those people that got DACA would continue to support those of us who were left out and started that whole movement back in the day. I hope we all stick together and support each other being happy for each other when part of us get some benefits.

My appointment is next Monday, 8/25. I was asked to bring a DACA application, even though the only reason I could not qualify was the age cap. And if the eligibility is updated so that age won't be the main qualifier, the background info required by DACA can be used to register all the appropriate facts. Fingers-crossed that will be the case.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I hope we get some relief this time around.

Hmm.. do we have to sound like rich white kids in this forum .. cause that's how it's coming across. Dude did the work , he's representing us in a positive light .. give the man a work permit . This might just be the push and awareness needed to extend daca to older dreamers and help out immigration reform . If i was in his shoes i would wish i had the cojones to do what he's doing . :/

I didn't ask him to, also. Dream ACT was introduced in 2001, has he been doing shit since then ?

2011 bro, but sure give him the credit he deserves.

i'm sure he personally went to the white house and rubbed the president the right way (no pun) to get him to give us deferred status.

Speaking from personal experience:

One should not need to be a public figure to be able to have his/her voice heard. The work is done every day by people fighting their cases, losing their money in the process, perhaps losing their jobs, and worse, losing family members. Every single one of these things I've listed has happened to me at some point in this process.

I am an older dreamer; I do not have an attorney; I had to contact DHS on my own. I hope that things go well. Like me, there are millions.

I do not begrudge him getting a permit; much less the other individuals listed. But it is disingenuous to not see that this whole thing is not primarily self-serving to him.

P.S. For those of you on Twitter, "advocates" troll this site without participating, and you'll probably see some summarized version of our posts as "original" tweets soon. I've noticed this pattern for a while.
