This sense of entitlement that Demise is portraying plays directly into the Republican narrative that Dreamer are never going to be happy and will always want more.
Agree with you and IamAman. Demise sounds kind of ungrateful in his post.
I am a DACA recipient too but my husband aged out and didn't get anything back in 2012. I am hoping if they do something about the spouse of the DACA recipients and the older dreamers this time. I know I am also asking for more but I don't have a choice.

Always been curious. Did you know your spouse is illegal before marrying him?

I see what Demise is saying and I agree. He did it for the votes. He's not saying he didn't do anything. He's also saying he's not happy with how strongly he's backing it. With Obamas role on immigration Im 50/50. He's behind it, and I like that, but he's not being as aggressive at the right times as I would like.

Yes, I do.

No, because I have no idea what this means.

Hell he didn't even take ownership 0f DACA, his name is nowhere on it. In all reality - DACA was an election year stunt, he was fairing so god damn poorly with latinos that he needed something to rally them up. Why do you think it came out in 2012 when prosecutional discretion was mentioned since at least 2010?

So yes - he may do something, chickenshit style and just piss the republicans off and just give them more ammo. He can definitely play it well and force them into action, but will he? Seeing how "well" he's done immigration in the past my answer would be no.
So your big complaint is that he didn't do enough to take credit for the important policy change that helped hundreds of thousands of people?

What does this even mean? The issue is that House Republicans are opposed to immigration reform. Do you think Obama is going to persuade a bunch of people who hate his guts that they should change their views? The work needs to be done by people who can actually influence Republicans, and Obama is not that person. The idea that he's going to magically ram immigration reform through Congress by giving more speeches and or being more "aggressive," whatever that means, is some kind of bizarre fantasy.

Okay. I'll explain my view to you since you seem so confused.
1- I know the issue.
2- No, I expect him to win people over that are unsure.(voters)
I would like him to do it by giving more speeches, specifically when immigration is under attack.
I know he has the ability to emphasize how little sense republicans make. He hasn't done this enough, he hasn't put the effort that should be expected from someone trying to pass immigration reform. I know he's seen the opportunities come, because he's either a great politician or has great advice, but he just let them pass.
He just hasn't changed public perception on republicans handling of immigration as much as he could've.
3- Nowhere in my post have I said that he will ram immigration reform through congress with speeches. This is not my idea and I do not expect that.
