I think many people here already felt "the Bern" in 2007 when the good senator voted against immigration reform while citing that people like us take jobs away from Americans and depress wages.

He's really not pro immigrant. He's only slightly better than Republicans in that regard and he's kind of a socialist so he's not good for the country. He says some stuff that makes sense but he's not all there.

What an ignorant way to summarize Bernie for the rest of the dreamers. A democratic socialist is a completely different definition as just a socialists. He believes in governments that provide healthcare and tuition as a right , not a privilege . He has plans to make jobs by improving our crumbling infrastructure , and taxing the rich more than ever. Making millionaire and billionaires stop running this country like they have always been doing it . And he is pro immigration , he voted towards the dream act and yeah he did vote against immigration reform but that's only because that part of legislation had something with guest working visas in there that he disagreed with that would have made a lot of us slaves to corporations and letting them do whatever they want

Please don't make Bernie look that and to our community without knowing the facts. Clinton can not run this country like Bernie could.

I know you have a man-crush on Bernie but calling me ignorant doesn't change the fact that he has voted against immigration reform before and with his pro-labor stance has spoken time and time again against it because to him, immigrants hurt the American worker. It is just now that he's showing sympathy and that is in large part due to Clinton's much broader support of immigration reform and has come out in support of comprehensive immigration reform.

You're also letting your man-crush get in the way of your judgement and make excuses for his 2007 vote. "Oh he was just doing that to protect us!" Really now? That's sounds like an abused spouse saying that "Oh he was just beating me to protect me!". The 2007 bill had a lot of issues, but it would have been a start and something to build on. in 8 years, 12 million lives would have been changed for the better and if those same people had work permits in 2014, opposition to DAPA would have been much lower and who knows, maybe the much better immigration reform would have passed.

Stop making excuses for him.

Yeah, that's a quote from "Bernie". I didn't age out of DACA, but every single Dreamers who did had the chance to lead a normal life if the reform bill in 2007 passed (which, incidentally, included the original DREAM Act).

Let's hammer in that point, because the Dreamers who are Sanders supporters seem to be in denial. Senator Sanders was one of the people who VOTED AGAINST immigration reform in 2007, which included the DREAM Act. You know, that piece of legislation that's in the name of this very website?

And what was his reason for voting against normalizing the Dreamer's lives? Well, why don't we ask him? Straight from the horse's mouth:

“What this legislation is not about is addressing the real needs of American workers. It is not about raising wages or improving benefits. What it is about is bringing into this country over a period of years millions of low-wage temporary workers with the result that wages and benefits in this country, which are already going down, will go down even further."

But please, go ahead and continue to "Feel the Bern". Many Dreamers certainly felt the "Bern" in 2007 when he crushed our hopes and dreams.

"You know what youth unemployment is in the United States of America today? If you're a white high school graduate, it's 33 percent, Hispanic 36 percent, African American 51 percent. You think we should open the borders and bring in a lot of low-wage workers, or do you think maybe we should try to get jobs for those kids?"

That's right kids. This is "the Bern":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZBYLIUqmIs

And you know what's funny? That's a quote lifted from the FIRST link that the OP posted in order for the Dreamers to "Feel the Bern". Well, I certainly hope you enjoyed "the Bern" more than I did.

THANK YOU.

I think Bernie thinks everyone in the country works as hard as the next person, which is obviously not the case. And that's why Socialism doesn't work in the first place. A Bernie Sanders presidency would be nothing short of catastrophic.
