3 weeks since I submitted my (late) application and still no biometrics. *Gulp*

Have a question: Were interim EADs offered for DACA renewals at one point? I think I remember reading on the USCIS page about the possibility of an interim permit in case an EAD expired before a decision was made, back during the first renewal round in 2014. Am I correct or am I losing my mind from all this renewal stress and imagining things?

He's probably referring to his biometrics appointment, which I'm assuming he hasn't gotten yet.

I am not sure if an interim EAD is possible for DACA applicants, or if it was ever offered in the past. One important thing to understand is that USCIS does not handle EAD applications under DACA in the same way as other EAD applicants (e.g. H1B status). For example, you will not be able to request an expedite request of your DACA-EAD card whereas other EAD applicants are allowed as long as they meet certain criteria (DACA has different rules that USCIS is still developing with congress/court).

Based on USCIS's website, they claim that an extension of your EAD-DACA card is available (see here). In practice, however, you will find it is nearly impossible to get the approval for an extension. You can try your luck with an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS branch. Best of luck.

Welp EAD expires on 09/11 and still not even Biometrics ... was hoping to fly under HR's radar but nope got email yesterday requesting updated EAD. FML.

Are we supposed to file different requests for I821D and for I765? I am at day 106 and my expiration date is Sept 9.

Edit: Just tried to create an e-request online and it says that my application is currently within normal processing time. Have you guys been successful in creating a request by calling the 800 number?

On another note, I wonder if those who have a case at Nebraska....really do have it there. I believe applicants should ask USCIS where are their cases being processed. Something doesn't sound right.

A federally recognized state ID and your USCIS notice of action should suffice. First, you should ask if it is indeed at the Nebraska Service Center though.
