Feeling hopeful today, you guys! I'm glad some of the long waits are over!

Tomorrow is my last day with my current company and Monday, I start with the new one. We'll see what happens, but even if it's not the best outcome (they rescind the offer), I'm hopeful now that I'll get approved soon. Hopefully we get more approvals tomorrow and the weekend!

Now that SRafaela was approved, I believe I'm officially the person with the longest wait, 217 days. I hope I don't have to wait 2 more weeks, 7 months is enough.

Guys, I just want to say that for those of you who are still waiting... don't lose faith God is on your side! I hope that one day we will all be posting the dates of receiving our green cards and citizenships! We are the American Dream.

So my DACA application finally got approved yesterday, 9/21/16 but my EAD is still in process. When I check it on the case status it still says biometrics appointment was scheduled. How long does the EAD take to get accepted once the DACA app gets accepted?

Also do you think it's a bad idea if I start applying for jobs already? I figure it's gunna take a while for me to get a call back from a job so by the time I do get a call my EAD should be here by then. I've been out of a job since 7/21/16 so I'm pretty desperate right now.

Here's my timeline:
Sent DACA & EAD - 4/20/16
Received- 4/22/16
Biometrics -5/11/16
EAD expired - 7/21/16
DACA approved - 9/21/16
I would say you could start applying! Applications usually only require your expiration date and don't require the actual card until you're actually hired so... GOOD LUCK

I haven't seen anybody shed light on this issue yet I feel that everyone is experiencing the same thing which is getting DACA approved and having no updates for the EAD. For those that were/are in this situation, how long did you wait for an EAD approval and did your EADs expire before new ones arrived?

You have a while to go. I wouldn't worry.
As for that, my DACA AND EAD got approved on the same day. However, the card production message isn't reflecting on both sites contrary to response email and tier 2 officer's confirmation. Honestly, I'd rather have the email/officer confirm since their system is freaky messy. BUT, I do wanna see updates on sites as well cause it seems to be AT MOST consistent after the card is mailed.

So my expiration date is next Thursday but HR has not reached out to me at my job and I am scheduled to work next friday(after expiration day) which means they don't even know my EAD will no longer be valid. Would I get in some type of legal problem if I still show up to work ?
