I expire in 7 days. I have yet to do my biometrics.
On "Case Status" website it says bios scheduled oct 3rd but nothing on ELIS or in mail.
Tomorrow I'm going to ASC and I will tell them that I was scheduled for Bios but don't have the notice because it didn't arrive yet. I will also show them my EAD to proof that I expire in 7 days. I hope they will take me in for bios.

I will let you all know tomorrow.

Best of luck. This is the height of inefficiency on USCIS' part.

Sorry let me clarify that. It's under production. I really hope I can get it by this friday...it may be wishful thinking. I have been expired since September 30, and my leave of absence ends next Friday.

I think this would be useful so we can get some media coverage or some congressman can use some data to help us out and put some pressure on USCIS.

Also, I have an acquaintance that's going to expire in March. With the way this is all going, do you guys think it'd be advisable to send her application early? Not sure if USCIS is recommending this yet or not...

I actually created a thread a while ago so those of us that lost our jobs could share stories/offer support but got no love. Didnt even get a troll in there.... Damn. Cold. Bumped it up again, but here is the link:

Let's see if other people wanna join this time. I think it would be very beneficial to compile information on those of us that are losing our jobs over this renewal fiasco.

Got approved this past week!

Sharing my timeline for those quietly keeping track:

2nd Renewal

Received: 05.06.16.
Bio: 05.25.16
Expired: 09.15.16
Renewal Approved: 10.05.16

Finally!!! I did email NILC to flag my case (it was approved a week later) and also did the form online for Uscis for the delay thing. Thankfully did not loose my job but my DL expired.

Edit: I see that there is also a delay in receiving the cards?? :-/ man...I guess I should expect to be stuck in "Card being Produced" for a while...

I personally don't think its a good idea to get everyone who is feeling down in one thread and share stories and support. Personally, hearing success stories from people I can relate with brings me up every day.

Yep. its ridiculous. I expired 9/23 and been on LOA since.

Either recommend to apply 7-8 months in advance if they know it can take up to 6 or give extensions if you can't commit to adjudicating within 120 days.

Hey guys,
First time poster here. USCIS received my case on 7/13, I had biometrics done on 8/3, and my EAD expires on 10/26. I have been a nervous wreck because I'm at risk of losing my job. I go to school and pay rent, pay tuition, and maintain myself. I'm wondering how you guys managed to convince your places of employments to place you on leave? My supervisor was being very understanding, and he initially said they would place me on leave for as long as we needed. He then contacted HR which apparently contacted the company's immigration lawyer who said it would be far too risky to place me on leave because it would mean I'd be on the payroll still. So as of right now I'm being terminated on 10/26. I am completely devastated. My supervisor was trying to be understanding but HR said that our company faces fines for keeping me on payroll after my EAD expiration date. Any advice for me?
I called USCIS and like many I was told I can't do anything until 105 days.
