According to Politico, House Republicans are already plotting the most efficient way to dismantle Obama-era regulations. An overtime rule requiring companies to pay time-and-a-half to workers who make less than $47,000 a year is expected to be one of the first reversals.

“We have heard over the past year that it would have truly dramatically bad effects, not just on employers but on employees across the country,” Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-AL) told Politico. “I can give you the names of a ton of private-sector businesses who will either have to eat that cost or pass that cost on to their customers.”

Exit polls taken during the Nov. 8 election showed that 41 percent of Trump’s 61 million votes were cast by people who make less than $50,000 a year.

I'm tired of the media claiming trump supporters voted for him due to economic anxiety. It was all racism.

This is for salaried employees, so it most likely was not for Republicans. People that were affected by this are mostly liberals.

Please educate yourself.

It's only getting started. NPR released Trump's tax plan and it's only benefiting rich people, not even the middle class. What a joke.

This is all good for them. If we all have to suffer through a trump presidency, I hope all the idiots who voted for this lunatic, feel it the most and suffer the consequences of their stupid decision.

There is more coming...ICE and USCIS unions that supported him are in for a very rude awakening.

Hiring freezes, an end to automatic raises, a green light to fire poor performers, a ban on union business on the government’s dime and less generous pensions — these are the contours of the blueprint emerging under Republican control of Washington in January.

These changes were once unthinkable to federal employees, their unions and their supporters in Congress. But Trump’s election as an outsider promising to shake up a system he told voters is awash in “waste, fraud and abuse” has conservatives optimistic that they could do now what Republicans have been unable to do in the 133 years since the modern civil service was created.

You can educate yourself instead of believing the media narrative that only poor people voted for trump or are democrats. Rich people are racist republicans as well. Your thinking is the reason people lump all immigrants as criminals.
