Hopefully it is just a wake up call to Trump.
It's called the bridge act for a reason. His main priority will be enforcing the border, he said this himself, and then there will be a determination on the people that remain after the deportation of criminals. This is to bridge the gap from daca repeal to that legislation trump proposed.

Not bad, I must say. Not bad.
This is not we want. This has no chance of passing, is just a DACA bill protecting us from Trump.

Do you think the Reps will want to pass that?

Ahh then this can be different.

The reason I said this wont work is because the article explicitly says it will protect DACA people from trump.

A bill that does that is not good and will make Trump look bad if it passes.

eva read this, it says it will protect us DACAers.

I really don't like the way this bill is being portrayed. I feel it will be a big backlash from all the good news we been hearing lately.

Don't see why Trump would be against it. He said just a few days ago that he wanted to work something out for us. If this succeeds, he can end DACA like he promised, because it was "unconstitutional" and it can be replaced with this in the mean time while they work on the bill to secure the border and possible immigration reform.

Nothing ground breaking. Temporary protection until they work on something to secure and enforce the borders.

Not sure why some of you were expecting more.

Why are you so dense? Trump is definitely going to revoke Daca! Would you rather be left without protections ? That's the purpose of this bill. I don't see how this bill is a bad thing. If you think a bill is going to pass giving us a pathway to citizenship straight out of the gate then you are seriously mistaken. This bill is just a temporary stop gap measure till they find a permanent solution for us.
