Remember that Trump has soften up on immigration and has said we are terrific people as well as he has something good in storage for us.

This is not possible at all.
Any bill will have to be signed by Trump. Trump has said he is willing to work something out. No need to play this game of "protection" from Trump.
This is not the way government works.
