For crying out loud.. I don't think our parents would want citizenship at this point. They'd be happy with simply a work permit and a right to travel.

Compared to the Kid's Act of 2013, legislation today is more draconian. It simply isn't relevant today.

Legislation today talks about an exchange of permanent security features for expiring legalization components based on the HOPE Congress will do something later. Legislation like that does not have the numbers for passage.

If they give us a path to citizenship, at least some of us will be able to legalize our parents once we become citizens (the visa overstays). So there is some backdoor there. Not ideal of course, but it's a start. What proportion of the 11 million are visa overstays? Does anyone have a clue?
