Do you know how different the electorate will be in 2020? Amongst 6 year olds white is a minority now. What does that tell you about millenials and generation z coming of age to vote. While the baby boomers that voted overwhelmingly for him die off. Repeal Obamacare and we will be there quicker.

I understand that but if the minorities don't come out to vote in even larger #s in 2020, or trump's fan base shows up in full force again or we have Russian involvement in the election then the result could swing in the Republican direction again. I don't want to be a party pooper by any means but I have a feeling the Republican controlled government is going to continue restricting voting rights wherever they can.

They will. 4 years of Trump will have people itching to vote.

Let's hope so. Because everyone thought he would lose the general election. Technically he lost the popular vote but got enough votes to be president now.

This. Invaliding section 5 of the Voting Rights Act has lead to some of the most egregious instances of voter suppression in the South since the 50s this election cycle. And its only the beginning.

With Republicans now controlling more than 25 States in terms of republican Governors and Legislatures, and partial control of 19 others, I can only see it getting worse.

In the 2018 midterms, meanwhile, Democrats will be defending a least 5 Senate seats - in red states.

Its impossible to exaggerate the ineptitude and incompetence of the Democrats, Obama, and the DNC. Aside from running the most unpopular candidate in political history, Obama decimating the DNC by transferring resources to his own group and loading it with his debt, sacking Howard Dean for advocating the 50-state strategy (the man who got them the House and Senate), and thus neglecting local and state races, etc. They lost at almost ever level of government this cycle.

Republicans are back to being the dominant party in America, and are likely to be so for years to come.

my thoughts exactly. Trump is starting his propaganda again over voter fraud. all that will do is make the administration make voter ID rules more restrictive. Just setting DACA aside for a minute, it will take decade for this country to reverse the damages about to be done by the republican controlled gov't. damages to minority voters' rights, damages to the environment, to free speech etc.

There is evidence of voter fraud in Detroit.

Reading the same article:

"Of the data available, though, machines tallied at least 388 more ballots, according to a Detroit News analysis of the records. That’s 0.16 percent of the 248,000 ballots cast in the city that voted for Clinton 95 percent to 3 percent over Trump."

"■248 precincts with too many votes and no explanation (77 were 1 over; 62 were 2 over, 37 were 3 over, 20 were 4 over, 52 were 5 or more over)."

Statically insignificant so far; too bad it took a failed recount vote to even bring this much to light. Need legislation for verifying the vote via a third party all around.

Hillary winded up losing Michigan by what? .3%?
Its seem Tom Barrow, in said article, is blaming the current Democratic mayor Janice Winfrey for Hillary's loss in Michigan.

This; Short of massive migration of democrats from blue states into bumfuk america, or revamping electoral college rules (yeah right), expect more electoral wins in the future.
