The definition of criminals is a lose interpretation. That mother that was recently deported was for using a social security number to work. I'm sure most of you have done this without getting caught. Still, I guess if your back is covered then f all the other "criminals" right.

Though 'admirable', I would hate to be the person whose identity she stole. There are plenty of work us illegals can do without committing fraud. She knew what she was getting into and decided to go the shortcut route, though sad, she deserves to get the boot.

One does not steal someone's identity to work... I would keep this discussion out of the forum..

Most of you want to act like under the current law we aren't all already criminals EWI and visa overstayers are the same to those people that are against us. Now they want to curb legal migration? This was never about being legal/illegal or being a criminal or not. All of this is racist policies to reduce our numbers and preserve white supremecy. If you guys want to act like your excluded from Trump's measures go ahead.

Not sure about the Mesa mother to be honest.

Then I agree but let's keep this conversation away from the forum.

What they are proposing makes total sense.

Diversity lottery needs to be scrapped. Extended family sponsorship needs to be scrapped. H1B abuse needs to be stopped.

Half a mil PRs ayear is still huge.

And they need to resolve DACA people for long term.

Total win-win.

eva, i understand where you're coming from and i will support you 99% of the time on here. but ewi's and overstays are civil crimes, they are not felonies or misdemeanors. identity theft or fraud are crimes are punishable by jail time and harsher penalties.

Thank you, likewise. And I totally agree, however, I am making a point from the perspective of the average person that does not know much about laws. Most trump supporters would characterize those as crimes.

I agree identity theft is wrong. However, she would not have to resort to those measures to provide for her family if there was a legal option for her to do so.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that I am saddened that amongst us dreamers we are giving into this narrative that we should deport "criminals". There are bad people that give us a bad name, however, the average person should realize that you can not lump all people into a single category.

I would be extremely saddened to see my fellow dreamers deported over a misdemeanor for driving without a license and someone go "yeah they deserved to get the boot."

So does this RAISE ACT if passed mean my i-130 application will be canceled? :'( is anyone else in a similar situation as I am?
What if the I-130 is approved already but waiting for PD date to become Current? Sponsored by a USC parent though.
