I would call USCIS to give them that new information. They maybe able to schedule it closer to the date your wife returns. Don't wait until you get the interview letter.

Thank You!!!!!!!!

We got there quite a bit early. Our appointments was at 8:50, got there at 7:20.. cant check in until 8:20.

The interview process was pretty straight forward. He had us go over our paperwork that we submitted. I was a little nervous and was caught off guard when he asked "when did you arrived to the United States?" Not gonna lie, i didn't really remember. I put down 2000 on the paper but I said 2001 and the officer had to confirm it again "Are you sure? it says in the paper you arrived in 2000" But then i gave him my i-94 and he kept it.

He then asked about how we first met, how was the wedding, our family, where we go for dates. He also asked my wife if she knew about my status prior to the wedding.

In the end he approved our application! and he said "you can relax now, i know your a little bit nervous earlier"

He didn't ask anything about previous illegal employment, or any info on your taxes or I-864? How long was your interview? did he stamped your passport?

Hey guys it's been 3.5 weeks since being approved on the spot and my case status hasn't changed from "interview is scheduled." Is this normal? I know some have gotten their cards super fast so I'm just wondering it this was normal.

Nope he didn't ask any of that. He checked my current passport when I came in, but he didn't stamped it.

The interview total was around 25-30 minutes i think? It feels like i was in there for an hour though.

Wow, 25-30 mins. seems long for a couple of questions. Unless he kept pushing for details.
