What they should do is try to engage Trump lovers and to attempt to open a dialogue. That would be much more helpful.

Siding with the opposition party will be detrimental. It seems like the DNC learned nothing and is already alienating party grassroots.

If this "Dreamer" attacks Trump real bad, that is like he/she shooting themselves in the foot.

He/she should be very happy that Trump left Dreamers alone.

I understand everyone's concerns, but let's see what she will say. On the hearings of one of the Trump's secretary picks, there was a former DACAmented guy, now a citizen, Army vet, who made a very strong case for us in front of the senate. We need people to speak up for our cause. I firmly belive that she can also make a strong case for us, at this point, that's what we need, I hope for a bipartisan solution, but we not going to get one by hiding out and waiting on the Republicans(and Democrats) good grace.

Yes but the Democratic party platform is not the way to go. We need to find our own voice. Political stands will only fracture our efforts. We cannot be partisan. This country needs to come together, it starts with us. Each and everyone of us.

I agree, we cannot be associated with the far-left right now... the democrats are just using her as a puppet for their agenda and to make a statement. We need to start a bipartisan reasonable conversation...
She also needs to show gratitude for what this country has done for her, I think Americans would appreciate that, we cannot sound like spoiled entitled "victims"

Agreed, but if you think of it, Astrid Silva has a golden chance to speak in front of America's most power people to sell our cause, I think it's important that she's taking this opportunity.

We have people from both side of the aisle in our favor, and they need to be vocal and take every opportunity they have. If there's a Republican group in favor of comprehensive immigration reform, they also should speak up. If there are non profits raising awareness, great, if some of us don't agree with the way they are doing things, instead of complaining in an internet forum, we should be trying to join the fight and change things.

I applaud those who risk their anonymity and safety to fight for this, I don't think I have this courage. While we are "safe" with our DACA, people are getting round up by ICE for the most stupid and little things, I have undocumented famiy members who are afraid, even my 9 year old, who's an American citizen, understands what's going on and is also afraid.

Again, I understand everyone's concerns, it's a delicate matter, and I also understand that Trump is a hard individual to deal with, but someone has to speak up and do something. I rather give Astrid Silva the benefit of the doubt and criticize her only if I see a reason to it.
