Hi guys... I married my wife who was my girlfriend of 4 years and now i am planning on adjusting. I plan to do this myself, with no use of a lawyer.

I have a few questions, while sending in the I-130, what other forms do i have to send it along with it ? or can i just send the I-130 by itself then later on send other forms ? Do i have to send it all the evidence of a bonafide marriage along with the i-130 ?
your input will be really appreciated.

With form I-130 you send money order/check, the new form for g-325a I don't know what it is called. Passport pictures of yourself and spouse. Marriage certificate, bc of spouse. Etc. And I sent in pictures of us plus wedding pictures. If you have kids their bc would be considered evidence. Bank accounts jointly. Etc. I heard people saying they've never sent no evidence I think that makes your case questionable. You could also send in form I-485 along with I-130 plus extra forms that go with I-485. If not you'd wait until I-130 arrpoval to send in I-485 plus other forms.

Update: this is all based on arrival to US with inspection like overstayed visa

Thank you sooooo much for the meaningful info. just to add on to that, i am a visa overstay. I do intend to send in evidence along with the I-130. I will first send in the I-130, and when that gets approved then i will send the I-485. Will my birth certificate have to be sent in or is it just my wife's that they will need ? i think i will give them a call tomorrow since i do have a lot of questions to ask.

Thanks again.

My lawyer sent mine and my wife's Birth certificate. It is always better to be safe and it really can't hurt you... I'd also strongly recommend that you file a work permit just in case. It's free when you are filling for permanent residency and it's better to have 2 work permits. Even though DACA looks like it's staying, things can change in a second with this administration.

I agree with the post above this one. When I did mine I sent in my bc and copy of passport visa page and I-94. I went all in so i wouldn't get rfe. It's been 2 months...still waiting for approval. You can also send in form I-765 for work permit. I didn't send I'm not working so it was irrelevant to my case. Whatever y'all have under both y'all names is considered evidence ...house lease? Bank accounts car insurance. Heath insurance. Life insurance Beneficiaries. Also a cover page. Don't forget marriage certificate. Seen cases where people don't send it.

Thanks a lot, this is why its always important to ask questions when in doubt. I will make sure i have all the evidence necessary before i send the package in. And oh yes, i will definitely apply for the work permit as long as there are no extra fees at this time, cuz my pockets are kinda looking funny right now.

Great info. We live together, but the lease is only under my name because she messed up her credit before and we got denied an apartment before cuz of that. So the place where we live now, the lease is only under my name. But yes we do have other bills that have her name and joint accounts.

Hey guys!!

HELP PLEASE!!!

So for form I-864...
(My wife's employment history..)

Quit her 4 year old job in california in September 2014.
Moved to Georgia. Started working for the trailer park community homes she lived in around feb 2015. She just has to do simple things like collect payments from the other renters and deposit the money to the company's account. The owner doesn't charge her rent to live there, and $260 cash for her job. She has a paper stating this, and was also eligible to receive food stamp benefits because of her low pay grade. She lived there with her dad, who financially supported her until recently when he just moved out. Now I support us.

Federal Income Tax Return Information
18.a. Have you filed a Federal income tax return for each of the three most recent tax years? Yes No

Do I just check NO?

And for 19a-19c where it asks for the past 3 years income amount, what do I write?

And do I check mark:
20. I was not required to file a Federal income tax return as my income was below the IRS required level and I have attached evidence to support this.

What evidence do I need?

Do I provide my tax papers for the last year with the form?
