My undergrad was in Mechanical so I never took the basic programming courses. Those colleges offer courses at an accelerated 8 week pace. So you can take 2 courses in 16 weeks.

Classes are not as good but it gets me credit.
So you are taking pre-reqs to get into CS master program?

What classes consists of your pre-reqs? and how many classes total do you need? Where are you going for masters after finishing this?

I have an MS in Mechanical engineering, and CS goes well if you want to do embedded systems.

I have to take object oriented programming, data structures, computer arch, operating systems.

I was accepted conditionally to University of Illinois but might chance to Colorado State which is slightly cheaper.

Employer will cover most.

I already have working experience with embedded system application but I want to get a degree. Also, I really enjoy school and CS is fun.

After taking object oriented programming, data structures, computer arch, operating systems, then you can go to Illinois or Colorado State, correct?

I recommend U of Illinois (Urbana) it has a great reputation and will be much better for you.

Are you doing it all online?

Yes, that is how it works, but the main thing is that I already have bachelors and masters in ME with some experience in controls/software.

I like U of I, although, it is more expensive, and I already have two degrees, school reputation does not help me as much at all as much as my work experience. I will consider where to finish once I finish the prereqs, also, you are allowed to transfer up to 12 credit hours to most Master's programs.

I did an online class at a college in Arizona and it fucking sucks, doing my final project right now. I paid out of state, 1000 dollars for two shitty classes.

Actually it is at one of those Maricopa County Community Colleges. I feel like I am at a spot light.
1000 for 2 classes doesnt sound bad at all.

If you have DACA - ie. the means to travel and find work anywhere, get out of Arizona to an immigrant friendly state and take your family with you. It wasn't so long ago that Arizona was a "show me your papers" state and things might return that way so I would do what you can do while you still can.
