Bridge Act is a really bad bill as it currently stands, unless they alter the provisions within it.

Good bye!!! Three years from now expect a democrat supermajority when people are tired of trump and republican BS. I'll take the bridge act over nothing any day.

We need to recognize that this is an opportune moment where something meaningful and permanent can be passed if we push enough.

Anyone who settles for Bridge Act needs to look at the TPS situation involving bunch of countries. That's what'll end up as after several years, with no other avenues.

In this political climate it is highly unlikely, Trump branded us as criminals and nothing more. Republicand allowed him to do this

Even the AGs in the letter they just want DHS to stop accepting new applications or renewals, I hope at least they ohase it out and let people expire, introducing Bridge Act in the meantime. Otherwise, it'd be chaotic. Not that they care

Bridge Act and RACA are both identical in the eyes of the anti-immigrant right in the sense that both provide "amnesty" to illegals that shouldn't have been here this long in the first place. If Congress manages to pass this bill, it would have meant that RACA also had similar chances of passing.

It's not whether Congress can or can't pass RACA as opposed to Bridge Act.

This is a perfect opportunity for push. My only concern that those with the muscle to actually push (immigrant rights groups) don't see it that way. They see saving DACA in exchange for any bit of concession as a loss. Its an all or nothing game for them, and they don't realize that the contents of that 'all or nothing' are the lives of people.

David Leopold (immigration lawyer) tweeted this:

Hopefully he comments soon about what was discussed and ways to fight this.
