So I'm not 100% sure.
It's probably the same as DACA where it grants us just legal presence rather than legal status.

Most Republicans are OK with amnesty or relief or whatever you wanna call it. But they want the cycle to stop. They are against continuous amnesties.

Earlier in the year, I warned about Sessions. Heck, Sessions even gave his own warning three months ago. Now, we are starting to see how those warnings are being played out....

Secretary Kelly determines the future of TPS and basically told us he is not sure if he will extend it for hundreds of thousands of people. He also said that the future of DACA is up to Attorney General Jeff Sessions,

This is it. The worst part of it all is that unfortunately, we are not that many. Less than a million people expiring over a period of 2 years, wont have any noticeable economic or social impact that will prompt congress to act.

Heck, not even the shut down of government makes these people act promptly, what makes you think a couple of people a week expiring will trigger any action. You heard Luis Gutierrez, you heard the immigrant organizations, they won't do shit...

Also, you guys forget the following...

Once we expire, our information goes over to ICE. Guess who runs ICE? The fact that we are set to expire along side with the TPS people is pretty dangerous. They will hunt them and us indiscriminately. So the issue is more dangerous than you think.
Luis Gutierrez after thinking about it, is right to fucking freak out.

Close to 1 million is quite a lot, actually. There are entire countries that have less people.

Add that to the millions of people (parents, siblings, friends) that will be affected by this and you start to have a chain reaction of negative consequences. Though, the extent of political sway we have as a group is a different matter.

Not if we all expire at a different date.

I have hopes that bridge act will be the glue for now... I really feel optimistic about it. For one, it does not offer legal status, it is technically, legal DACA.

"It's on us to make sure both parties feel the heat. Democrats and Republicans must insist DACA be preserved or pass DREAM Act"

The president of one of the pro immigration groups (America's Voice) tweeted that not too long ago.
