It's not official. Any anti immigrant representative can offer an amendment when the full house votes on it and strip it. Most of you guys should get familiar with the legislative process.

Is it significant because it survived a mostly republican committee? Don't most bills go through committees only to be killed in the house/senate ? For example, the various dream act bills
