11:15 a.m. update: Several protesters were detained during a demonstration on the north side of the Texas Capitol on Wednesday.

Demonstrators had been holding a sit-in at the intersection of 15th Street and Congress Avenue to protest state Attorney General Ken’s Paxton’s opposition to a federal provision that protects immigrant children from deportation.

Not sure what this does to help but thanks for your support guys! On another note, people who visit the capital usually go to the south side since that's where the grassy area is but the northside is quite lovely as well, especially during and after sunset. They have an underground cafeteria and everything. A must see for any Austin visit. Don't forget to walk to the Bullock Museum as well. I've never been inside myself but it has a huge star in the front that's great for selfies. Remember that enjoying the lovely city of Austin while being undocumented brings extra joy as the current governor and his AG aren't fans of the "Sanctuary City".

Constitution, is he on fucking Crack? The same powers that allow president Trump to Ban Foreign Nationals is the same fucking authority that allows him to give DACA. The same powers that were used to intern Japanese US citizens during the war. Give me a fucking break...

He will not prevail...

6th street is pretty cool during the weekend, Lockhart has awesome bbq as well. Barton creek is an awesome hike, this time of the year is very hot so don't forget to drink lots of fluids. (beer doesn't count)

Good that they were released. I wish we'd organize a march in Washington. I'd sign up for that.
