That would be the EAD, although maybe we'll be as lucky as Vivace and get it soon.

Honestly, not that emotional about it. Just reflective and glad that it's finally over.
Congrats!

I would definitely call up USCIS or do an infopass appointment to see what is up. That is highly unusual.

Also, USCIS has been having issues with bio-metrics. They are switching a few things around internally from what I was informed.
What are you hearing specifically regarding these internal changes?

5 sources showing it is going to be demolished rather than they want to demolished it?

Gordo, what other websites do you look at or forums to keep you up to date on the timing?

There are a few, but VisaJourney seems to be one of the best.

Good afternoon,

I wanted to provide a timeline for my wife's adjustment of status. This forum is incredibly inspiring and helpful for gauging expectations of process, experiences, forms, etc. I wanted to help the cause and pay-it-forward to others for what it's worth. I am the USC and my wife EWI when she was 7 from Mexico. We utilized a knowledgeable attorney through the process of all DACA applications, the AP and the AOS since 2012.

We live in Charleston, SC.

Timeline:

PD - 4.06.17
Biometrics complete - 5.03.17
Interview Ready to Schedule- 5.23.17
Interview scheduled 7.06.17 for 08.07.17
EAD Approved - 7.13.17
Interview (Charleston Field Office)- 08.07.17 (officer said he will approve; told to wait one week for letter and roughly 2 weeks for card)

The interview was very straightforward, we had our 5 year old as well as our 2 year old. The officer was kind and asked about how we met and my wife's AP entrance. We have been together for 8 years and married for 5 in addition to bringing our children with us to the interview. He and I connected due to my job title and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our attorney's submitted our joint bank statements, our deeds for our properties (multiple) and a plethora of further documentation with insurance documents of multiple sorts, investments, beneficiary information on all assets, familial documentation proving that we know each other's family, etc.

The one item that I took away from this was that though we had an attorney, we didn't bring them as they are based in Denver, CO. He was explicit in that he appreciated this and demonstrated he would work through the interview more efficiently.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask questions. I truly appreciate everyone's contribution and I will continue to attempt to work for dreamers in my small capacity. There are many in this country who value each of your contributions and I too support your cause and wish the best for all.

Best regards.

Congratulations on finishing the process! The letter and subsequent green card will come fast.

One follow-up that people will ask of you here and in your DMs: What kinds of questions did your officer ask? Did he ask why/how you got married? Who attended your wedding? Who sleeps on which side of the bed? etc.

Hi Vivace,

Thank you very much and to you as well!

The questions were:

1) So how did you meet?
2) Where did you meet?
3) First Entrance? Where and when? (Edited)
4) Last AP entrance? Where and date? (Edited)

Then he proceeded to ask my wife all of the standard list of Yes/No questions regarding the application.

That truly was the extent and we had more conversation about my career and our kids than anything further.

I haven't the slightest if it had to do with how well prepared our file was or if it was just his general disposition.
