Why not? None of you are members or shot callers. Who cares. If you can get relief by snitching, do it. I am sure all of you know how brutal MS 13 is. Central American fucking cucks preying on innocent people. Bunch of skinny pussys who can't fight, so they jump innocent people.

The article mentioned all three visas. Anyway I looked it up and undocumented immigrants are eligible for S Visa:

The S nonimmigrant classification is generally available to aliens who would otherwise be inadmissible to or deportable from the United States (for example, due to criminal convictions or certain problems with immigration status). The statute authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to waive most grounds of inadmissibility. The program is particularly useful for witnesses or informants who would otherwise be in danger in their home countries.

Okay you are right, so after re-reading the article it looks like they never intended to make it seem that it was something new. The news article is showing the reader that such tools exist.

Or did it seem to you that is what they were trying to do?

If I didn't have family to worry about, I would hunt them myself.

all i have to ask is why.
why does there have to be an incentive to report criminals.
the people snitching most likely were involved in some way as well, and i can guarantee the majority of them don't need legal status as badly as dreamers do.

I don't see it as an incentive to report criminals. It is more to show undocumented immigrants that they shouldn't fear reporting criminals. That's why Sanctuary city policies actually make everyone safer. Someone shouldn't be afraid that contact with police (especially to report a crime) will lead to their deportation. And it's not as if they are giving away these visas like candy. Each visa has specific criteria someone needs to meet to be eligible.
