The South Koreans have a draft, they seem to be doing alright for themselves. If we draft eva02, it'll add character and patriotism, and show her what the "patriarchy" can actually do.

In an ideal world, a DACA'er enlisting in the armed forces should be one of a couple different ways to gain some kind of permanent status.

Some of us have a career already built and are embedded in the workforce. That should be another doorway to permanent status (especially if it's a STEM-based career) as enlisting would significantly disrupt what people in this case have already built.

Most of the military never sees actual combat, they serve in support roles. In fact, suicide leads the highest rate of deaths in the military due to PTSD.

Nah you don't have to fight in combat, you can serve in traditional gender roles such as nurse, or cook, or some sort of pen pusher behind a desk. Oh yes, a secretary.

All nice and safe roles supporting men who do the fighting. I would certainly not want our little eva getting into combat. She could get a cut or a scrape!! Much too delicate for running around where there could be glass. Oh that would hurt!
