Not sure if the grandfathering will solve anything in the long term. I know being able to drive and work is essential but I am really EXHAUSTED from living life not knowing what tomorrow looks like. If permanent relief does not happen now, it never will.

I want to live my life. Want to travel the world without restrictions. Want a date a guy without thinking "ummm, is he a citizen?". No, I am not dating simply for a GC but that question does play in the back of the mind. Compared to other undocumented immigration, I know our life is a luxury. Many of us have great jobs but damn, I am not going to get my 20s and 30s again! When I am old and wrinkly, I hope I don't look back and think I paid a big price to stay in this country.

Exactly. Congress has been playing games with us and both sides have used us as leverage to try to get the other side to do their bidding. Tbh I hope he cancels it and just lets our current daca expire. At least then I’ll have enough motivation to be forced to marry someone.

so what i dont have daca but im still here. plus user immigrant is an h1b worker. they could have removed the h1b program like that and he would become undocumented just like the rest of us
